Spring Has Already Sprung

12 March 2012

The spring equinox isn’t officially for another eight days, but with the recent (and annoying) switch over to daylight savings time this past weekend and the onset of temperatures in the mid-60s on a regular basis, one could argue that spring got a bit anxious and decided to be a little early to the party. That said, as much as I am a huge winter and snow lover, I have not been complaining these past few days.

I managed to get out a few times this weekend, firstly for a quick little hike on Saturday. I shouldn’t be too surprised but it seemed that every other person had the same idea as the trail was quite busy. That was followed by the official switchover from indoor to outdoor soccer on Sunday on a beautiful afternoon.

As a meteorologist, and Coloradan, I can never count out the chance of us getting another snowstorm or two in the coming weeks. But for now, I am going to roll up my sleeves, open up my windows, and enjoy a few more hikes in the coming week.
