Save the Fish!

2 October 2010

As a fellow fish, I find it my job to make sure my fellow fishes are kept safe.  Twice a year, Trout Unlimited in Evergreen cleans Bear Creek in downtown Evergreen of rubbish and other random debris that has pilled up over the past six months.  This past Saturday was clean up day and I donned my hiking boots and gloves and wandered my way down the river.

The random finds for this trip was half a car (in all its various parts), 30-pack of beer (half unopened), a soccer goal, enough political signs from the 2010 election signs to canvas a town, 2 rubber ducks, and 10 other bags full of rubbish. Overall, a good day of volunteering and being in the sun!
